Together with business partner Terry Godreau, this dynamic duo plan to boldly take PlanetCPU to infinity and well, you know… beyond. To do that, they have surrounded themselves with the best of the best, selecting a crew of expert technicians and sales staff who can be trusted to resolve customer’s issues and get the job done right. That allows Mark the ability to focus on plans for world domination and other important issues, like making sure PlanetCPU can expand to offer the same great service to more areas in our community, from home offices to corporate contracts, for Mark, the future is to grow the business without losing the quality of exceptional service PlanetCPU revolves around.
It helps to love what he is doing, and Mark loves being in a business that constantly changes, pushing him to stay current and keep evolving. It’s a great challenge. You have to get your head in the game. It’s a good thing Mark is a self-proclaimed stubborn man, whose taken a few soccer balls of the head. Needless to say, he’s goal oriented and makes sure everyone else on his team is too. Stubborn, sure, but Mark likes to be right, a lot. They guys let him be right, because at the end of the day, they know he heads home to his beautiful wife and three gorgeous daughters, where he doesn’t stand a chance to be right about anything. And he wouldn’t want it any other way.

Terry Godreau, President of the company, is PlanetCPU’s gravitational force; the master of juggling, spinning and sending this business into orbit, alongside his business partner Mark. Two different guys with two different backgrounds, their success is in respecting this fact and their unique strengths.This dynamic duo began eleven years ago, in a make it or break it moment. Terry had two choices: teacher’s college or entrepreneurship. Obviously, Terry choose the right direction and he’s been moving forward ever since. Driven by a natural ability to make connections, to source out good people and a genuine interest in positive marketing, he’s the charming host with the most potential to make things happen.
Terry knows that customer service is vital to the success of PlanetCPU, and since he plans to see this business thrive, he keeps his focus on earning loyal customers, loyal staff and a commitment to staying current with the technology. It’s a competitive world of big box stores and internet sites, so for PlanetCPU to keep spinning forward, Terry knows customer service isn’t something you say, it’s something you do – every time, all the time. Certified by Apple Computers, Terry can add Mac specialist to his list of accomplishments, so his clients can rely on him for full technology support.
Terry’s motivation is as real as his outlook on life and it’s grounded in a philosophy that of surrounding yourself with good people and making a long list of goals, even if they seem out of reach, makes all things possible.

John Rooyakkers likens his experience as a team member at PlanetCPU to being part of a racecar. It’s an interesting metaphor. Co-owners Terry and Mark would be the engine, firing up the team on all cylinders. The customer service guys up front would be the stealth fiberglass body of the car, the first thing our customers see. The technicians? They’d be the wheels that keep everything in motion. And John? He’s the steering wheel and he loves the job. In fact, he even uses his signals. (Nobody wanted to take on the role of gas, apparently).
A typical man, John won’t stop and ask for directions. He doesn’t need to. John comes to PlanetCPU with 18 years experience as an entrepreneur who navigated the evolution of the technology sector with both hands firmly on the wheel. He brings a wealth of business and customer service skills, and best of all; his years in business were all local to our coverage area. That means he knows our customers and they know him. The trust he’s established for accountability and knowledge in our community is going to help steer PlanetCPU in the right direction. [Beep, beep.]
John’s positive attitude about life and his ability to karate chop anyone who doesn’t share his happy mindset make him, well, happily intimidating. No, not really. As a father and married man for more than 25 years, John is the kind of guy who makes accountability cool. We think he’s really cool and frankly, we’re happy he’s steering us on. And as long as he continues to watch the television show Big Bang Theory, he’s going to fit in just fine.

Roland Coulombe likes to take center stage at PlanetCPU and welcome everyone through the door. He’s a people person, so he is happiest working with the customers even it means a lot of paperwork. In fact, you could say Roland is like a translator. His role is to listen, interpret and explain with total accuracy so that the technicians understand the issues to be resolved and the customer understands what the technicians are going to do. You could say he is fluent in customer service.
Relatively new to Planet CPU, Roland likes it here because we have great customers and a fabulous team that work hard, put play hard too. There is always something new to learn, always something to figure out and always a laugh to keep things moving. That’s a good thing, because Roland has just entered Fatherhood and these guys will keep his soon-to-be sleep-deprived spirits high, because they know Roland is vital to keeping this Planet CPU spinning.

Rob Naylor is a taskmaster, a multi-tasker and an all around task-completer (we made that up) with the ability to provide the kind of friendly, informative customer service we are known for here. Plus he has the technical wizardry and know-how to work with the technology we service, with skills that allow him to go behind the wall of the Planet CPU tech area. We don’t let just anybody back there, you know.
Rob may have studied Network Administration, but we’ve seen him work his away around a circuit board and the truth is, he is one determined solution seeker. Nothing gives Rob greater satisfaction that tearing a computer apart, piece by piece, and solving the issues before meticulously putting it all back together again in fine working condition. And don’t be fooled by his quiet demeanor. Rob is chatterbox. Mind you, it’s only when he’s working really hard to fix a computer, at which point, Rob is known to carry out long and interesting conversations with, well, himself. Rob and um, Rob discuss problem-solving ideas, debate his options and even celebrate their eventual victories. We don’t even have to eavesdrop to hear him!
Maybe that’s why Rob fits in so well here, (that and his obsession with video games and science fiction). He’s a dedicated team player with a sense of humour and a serious need to figure things out until they work again. He won’t stop. He wants answers. That’s what we like to hear, and what our customers expect from the Planet CPU team. Whether he’s out in front answering questions or offering advice on our line of products, or back in the tech area mumbling to himself, you know he’s not going to be happy until our customers are thrilled with our service.
